Admissions

Please find attached the LA's Composite Timetable for further guidance on Reception and Nursery 2021-22 Admissions with key dates. Also attached is the online leaflet for how to apply online and the Primary Prospectus 2021. All of which is available to download from

If you would like your child to attend our school, please do so directly on the Tower Hamlets website. The link can be found below. 

 

Admission to the school follows the Local Authority's Admissions Policy, which is to prioritise as follows:

 

  1. Children looked after by the Local Authority including adopted children who were previously looked after and children who leave care under a special guardianship or residence order.

  2. Children for whom it is deemed there is a strong educational, medical or social reason to attend the school.

  3. Children who live in the catchment area who have a sibling attending the school (including the Junior school) and who continue to do so on the date of admission.  This includes siblings not within the catchment area who were admitted before the start of the 14/15 school year.

  4. Children who live in the catchment area of the school and for who the school applied for is their nearest community school within the catchment area.

  5. Other children from within the catchment areas of the school.

  6. Children living outside the catchment area of the school.

Admission to Nursery

 

School Admissions to Nursery is managed centrally by the Local Authority. The School follows the local authority's admissions policy. Admission to Reception is through Tower Hamlets Primary Co-ordinated Admissions. 

 

Our Nursery is part-time and we offer either a morning session or an afternoon session.

 

Morning sessions are from: 9:00am - 12:00 noon

Afternoon sessions are from: 12:30pm - 3:30pm

 

A child will normally start our Nursery in September of the school year in which they turn four. 

 

The closing date for applications is usually by February.  

 

The outcome of the application will be notified usually by May.

Please note that a place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception. For Reception parents/ carers need to apply again via the Tower Hamlets admission website.

 

Admission to Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 

School Admissions to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 is also managed centrally by the Local Authority. The School follows the local authority's admissions policy. Admission to Reception is through Tower Hamlets Primary Co-ordinated Admissions. 

 

The closing date for applications is usually by January.

 

The outcome of the application will be notified usually April.

 

If you are unsuccessful in gaining a place at the school, you have the right to appeal. You can get an appeal. A form can be obtained from Tower Hamlets Pupil Services.

Infant to Junior Transfer

 

Year 2 children who are going to Year 3 have to fill out an online application for a transfer to the linked Junior School. Please do so via the link below. 

 

The closing date for applications is usually by January.
