Rosa Parks By Sandy's Class

Hello Yellow Day! ... raising awareness of mental health in young people.

Today we thought about how we can look after not just our bodies but our minds as well.  In the morning we talked about things we can all do to keep our minds healthy and in the afternoon we challenged ourselves to try some new fruits.  The tasting was a hit... well almost... the lemon had some mixed reviews!!!

A busy day for the Zoologists at the farm today.  Working in teams we learnt about what some of the animals need to stay healthy.... And whilst we were out one group harvested some vegetables and cooked us up a special treat.   YUM YUM!
Land Ahoy!   What do you think of our Pirate Ship drawings?  We had to use our listening skills to follow the step by step instructions.
A walk along the River Thames

To launch our new topic 'Land Ahoy'. we went for a walk along the bank of the River Thames to see what we could see.

We couldn't resist a little 'park break' too... a run around in the beautiful autumnal sunshine, with our friends,  is just what we needed!

Hockney inspired landscapes...

We have been learning about one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.... David Hockney.

David Hockney loved using colour in his landscape paintings.  We used mixed media to create our own 'imaginary' landscapes... What do you think?
