19/20 RC - Seema

Dear Seema's class,

I am typing this letter to tell you all that I miss you dearly and hope you are all well and happy.

I hope you are all staying safe at home and going out for exercise. I have been trying my best to exercise daily and carry on keeping busy. I hope you are all having a lovely time with your family and working and playing together.

I will be uploading photos you send me to the school website so your friends can see what you are doing at home. I have been sent some photos of children busy at home and I am AMAZED!   yes

Keep them coming, it is so lovely to see.

I am so proud of you all, it makes me so happy to see all the great work you are doing and I also want to say a big well done to all the parents teaching their children at home. I hope you have been enjoying the home learning packs we have been sending to you, and there will be more. Remember, you are all in my thoughts everyday and I hope to see you all soon.

Lots of love,

Seema  smiley  heart

Healthy Eating

The children thoroughly enjoyed tasting different fruit. We ate watermelon, passion fruit and kiwi.

The children loved watermelon!
Enough for everyone.
"It's so juicy!"
"Can I have some more please?"
"Would you like some more?"

We have been learning about healthy eating and enjoyed trying roasted vegetables!

The children enjoyed listening to the storybook 'Oliver's Vegetables', and were inspired to try some themselves!

We have been learning about why vegetables are so important and how they grow.

We all tried eating roasted vegetables.
Some children really enjoyed it!
It was the first time for some children.
We enjoyed eating roast beetroot.
Some children wanted more!

Seema's class have been writing sentences everyday.

The children wrote a sentence to go with the Christmas story. They wrote...

'Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem.'

Although this is a tricky sentence, the children used writing prompts to help them write it independently after it had been modelled to them. They have been learning to:

- Say the sentence a few times,

- Use a capital letter,

- Use a finger space,

- Sound out the words,

- Add a full stop at the end,

- Read and check their sentence.

Take a look at the children's writing below...
