Pizza Making Masterclass

Our class were lucky to get the opportunity to visit Pizza Express in Wapping to be given a pizza making session in their restaurant. From pressing out the dough, to spreading the ingredients the children listened intently and followed the instructions to the letter. The final products were taken home and without a doubt enjoyed by all. We were shown good hygiene around food and started with a proper wash of our hands and we even got to wear the famous Pizza Express hair cap and apron.

Did you spot Salt Bae at the end finishing off his Pizza?

Cross Curricula Links

This week in Literacy we are revisiting ‘Report Writing’ as a genre of text and will be writing about different large cats. It seemed fitting to use our Computing session to research these amazing creatures and better our skills using an internet browser to find answers to our questions. As you can see our class are very proficient in the use of google as a research tool. When in doubt ask google!

How many Harry Potters does it take to change a lightbulb?
We celebrated world book day in style with a dress up day in which our class came in as their favourite story book character. To mark the occasion we also read a number of lovely story books and started a new class chapter book...David Walliam’s - ‘The Beast of Buckingham Palace’.

Countryside Live

During our first visit out, the class were able to experience some of the wonders of countryside living. These included crafts using natural materials and also a range of animals they may not see whilst living in a busy city such as ours.

Our Farm Visits Have Begun

Our class will have fortnightly visits to the farm where we will carry out jobs around the farm. These include, planting and growing vegetables, cooking with the vegetables we have grown and taking care of the animals and their environments. We will also carry our various science investigations during our visits.
